Text surrounding shape of image??

Ok.. I am not sure if this is the same question that was just asked but I dont think so...

I have seen many layours where an image has been cutout and then the journaling on the page goes along with teh shape of the image...
I'm saying this in a very confusing way, I know but I do have an example...

http://www.scrapbook-bytes.com/galle...45&ppuser=7324

Did she do this manually like I did on my layout that I tried this with or is there an easier way??

p.s. I have PSP9 (If it can only be done in PS, I have that too but would need easy step by step as I am not very familliar with PS)
Thanks

Hi Cheetah,

I have seen this question asked once in the newsgroup and to my understanding no it is not easily done in PSP9!
I believe in order to do it you would have to add each line of text one by one, I haven't played too much with this yet either, but I wonder if you "group objects" (your vector text) if you could then deform them....?
If you want the info that was on the newgroup let me know I will find it and I will PM you with it.
Sorry I couldn't be more help on this!!

Cheetah go to my gallery to read more about this... ;o) It is the little yellow circle one with text in it...
I created a photo album for tutorial images that I have to help explain things...
(if this is not acceptable by anyone please let me know and I will remove it ASAP)

Haley, it has been so long since I have used PSP that I am afraid it is but a dim memory but I wonder if you couldn't use the vector pen in freeform (for the particular layout in question) to draw a curved path around the figure, then the other three sides would be straight along the edges of the paper and fill the shape with text? Sorry if this is goofy inquiry, like I say, I can hardly remember the program anymore but I can't believe this is a line by line job!

Nevermore, I know what you're saying sure makes sense, but I have tried what you suggested and unless I manually type spaces before the words in the beginning of my line, the text does not know enough to move over and stay within the boundaires of my vector shape. I even tried to group these two vector images and then align distribute shace even hort. and that just moved everything over on the paper.
It could be I am missing some important little trick, but even the PSP experts say it can't be done since PSP9 does not have auto word wrap. So instead of the whole line being filled evenly with text like a newspaper column (ex. Microsoft word) you also end up with a big ugly space at the end of your line if the next word is too big to fit and you have to move it to the next line of text.
Then if you come to a shape that is like an hour glass for example, when you come to the bottom part you can not take spaces away to get the text to move far enough to the left side of the shape.
I am just hoping and praying that this somehow ended up getting added in PSPX!! ;o)

Ahhh, okay, no auto word wrap! I didn't realise that. Sorry for butting in, especially when NOT helpful, just seems like such a pain!
