How do I do this? text help needed

Hi all,

Firstly will say I am using PSP9 if that helps.

My question is: I am trying to put some text on a slight angle to fit onto an angled rectangle on my LO. I angled the rectangle using the raster deform tool, is there a way to make the text angled too as it keeps coming out straight but there seems to be no way to use the deform tool. My text is currently on a vector layer..is that where the problem lies?

You have all been such a great help in the past I thought I would ask to see what i was doing wrong!

Cheers,

Jo

Hi,
Do you want text to be on all 4 sides of the rectangle?
Then if you are angling your rectangle with your deform tool on a raster layer that is wrong, use:
your preset shape to create your vector rectangle and then click your text icon, position your mouse over the side of the rectangle where you want your text and wait until you see that little "A" with the curved line below it. Then type your text and it will be on that side. Use you text alignment also to get it either in the middle, top or end.

Then to slant the text, in the layer palette, x out the shape and convert the text to raster layer THEN use your deform tool on it. You will need to have a second vector layer for your shape. But that would only work for one side at a time, not all the way around.

Sorry guys..I am SO THICK sometimes! I have just figured out what i was trying to do in about one easy step! All I had to do was convert the text on the vector layer to a raster layer and then use the deform tool.
Amazing what a good nights sleep can do for you hey?
Sorry to have bothered you (will still try your suggestions though as by playing around I am bound to learn something new!

Cheers,

Jo
