When I checked Amazon.com they showed an PAINT SHOP PRO X Educational for $59.00 - to be released on 9/23 That's all they had so far. Have never seen an educational version for PSP, so that's strange - possibly that's an error. Sure sounds like it is the program, but it of course doesn't mention all of the other items (camera strap, etc) But here is the info on that:
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...tware&n=507846

When I was checking Amazon, the following came was a link on their page: Claims it's for a free version of PSP 9 and also free shipping. Now I don't know if that is legit or not-but thought I'd mention it. Says it expires today. I bumped into one of those for PS CS awhile back-but figured it had to be a spoof...

Anyway, the $59.00 deal on the Corel site sounds pretty good. I always check all sources before I buy. Some versions I've purchased at Amazon.com (with rebates) cheaper than the local stores and the manufacturers site. Others I've purchased at local stores with rebates and such. The manufacturers site has always been the most expensive, but this time it seems okay...of course no one else has it yet...but still think the $59.00 doesn't sound too bad. I'll probably take the plunge...Christmas is too far away and so is my birthday. Bad part is having to wait since the darn thing isn't released yet.....oh well....hopefully there will be more to learn about it before the 8/31 offer date....

All the info says is "upgrade to".....but none of us have ever seen an upgrade software program for PSP (like you do for Word, Excel, etc) ...it always been a completely new version. You can have 7,8,9 installed on your computer, because it doesn't install on top of the previous. The Corel site has a 1-800 number if you want to call & confirm, but we're pretty sure it's a new version. But make sure you look at the minimum & recommended system requirements (in earlier posts) if you're running an older computer.

ok let me see if i got this straight. corel is releasing an upgrade, not a full version, calling it PSPX, and you can get a hard cd, not a download for 59.00 until 8/31 and it won't be released until 9/23?
is this correct? just a little confused...and excited

I agree with Doris, I believe it is a complete whole program since it mentions that all your old beloved tools will still be available and new ones. Supposed has all new tubes, shapes and all that stuff.

This morning I went and bought it. I tried the download version, just for kicks and giggles!!
But I still can not download it, I got a confirmation notice in my email that I will get another notice mid-sept when I can download it!! Bummer!!
However Corel did take the money from my account and elsewhere it said that your credit card would not be charged until the shipping date of the product!!
I got the 10% promotional discount so it cost me $53.10 it said that there would be $7.00 for shipping but that was never added into the final cost of the purchase either!!
So here's to waiting and wondering yet again!!

One place it said upgrade, but I think that is more of a mis-type (advertizing goof) it should be a full working version like Doris mentioned earlier.
I just posted about trying the downloaded version, but I still can not download it until mid-sept.
Supposedly there is a 10% discount, I got it with my email notice. So I paid %53.10.

Doris check your PM...

I've just been to Raven's PSP site and it says there that Corel don't do PUBLIC beta testing like Jasc did (I think a few members from that site were on the beta testing group for other versions), so that would answer one question.

Don't Corel realise we NEED to know all the little details right now!
