And here is the minimum system requirements:
Minimum System Requirements

500 MHz processor
Microsoft ® Windows ® 2000 (SP4) or XP
256 MB of RAM
500 MB of free hard disk space
1024 x 768 resolution display, 16-bit color display

I can't image trying to run with 256MB ram....PSP9 can do it, but not very well, not with such memory intensive images that we have creating LO's!!

Yes it is PSP10, maybe Corel decided to make the change to roman numerals???
That's kind neat also as it is easier to type X instead of 10!!!

Agree, I wouldn't want to try it with a 256 either. Don't know how you could with photos and the graphics. Well, this has been exciting...can't wait to find more info on it. I've googled and googled, but haven't come up with anything else. Suppose I need to go directly to CNET and some of those sites. Assume by the weekend someone will have a review of it. Maybe when Corel responds back to me, they will have more info. Yippie, something new! (no trial version yet, I checked)

It only sounds like a hard copy CD mailing, no download version yet!! So there might not be a trial version to test it out first!!

I just went and checked out lynda.com videos on her web site, she has one listed for PSP8. I wonder if she did a new one for PSPX? One would think she almost would have had to.....?

This is interesting taken from a link on the email notice:
VIII. Two hours of video tutorials included FREE
For new image editors or those who just want to see what else they can do, we've included 2 hours worth of Lynda.com video tutorials! These tutorials, included when you buy the upgrade will show you how to make the most of this brand new version.

Interesting choice of words: Upgrade
But it seems like the video's will be for PSPX!!

OMG, I go away for a few hours and check back only to find this thread! How exciting, can't wait for more info on this.

Despite getting a copy of PSCS2 recently I just can't give up PSP 9, I think it is like my first love- well, I did start digi scrapping with V. 8 and hated it, V.9 is for me "the best"!! Now if only I could have a combination of PSP9 & PSCS2 I would be a happy bunny.

Now, I'll need to hover here all day to see if anything is added to this thread.

Jules

Figured a new program was coming soon as had seen PSP 9 for $30.00 recently.

Anyway, I went back and read my email that I had recevied. The $59.00 offer expires 8/31and limited to North America - but the product will not be shipped until early Sept. They don't bill you until it's shipped. The info does say upgrade....but I've never seen an upgrade version in the past...it's always been a new program.

I ordered the disc, I think everything looks the same but two things sold me on it. All-New Layer Palette and the Pick Tool. I can not wait to see how fast it is. I don't have a problem with my 9 but sometimes it gets slow.

No Emma, there is not a download version yet, nor is there a trial version.
It looks like we all pay the same price, until Aug 31 then the price goes up, but by then they might also have the trial version, if they want you to pay $100 some dollars.

Doris you're right it has always been a new program but customers who owned a previously registred PSP could pay a reduced price to purchase the next new program.
