moving elements around after saving

Hi everyone, I hope someone can help me here. I have been using Paint Shop Pro 8 for a little while now and still have not learned everything. The one thing I am having trouble figuring out is once I save my page and then come back to it later, I am unable to move things around on the page anymore. Like being able to highlight a tag and drag it somewhere different. Does anyone know how to get all of the elements to move again after it has been saved? I know there has to be a way....I am just not figuring it out. Thought maybe someone here would know. Thanks

Christen-
It's all in how you save your image. If you saved it as a jpg, you're screwed Make sure you save them as psp images which will not only let you move the layers around each time you close and re-open, but saves it in the best quality for the program itself.
HTH!

If you have saved something as jpg you can still rescue it IF..............
you can select each object by using your selection tool, edge finder, magic wand, etc. then promote that selection to a separate layer (over in the layers palette, right click and choose the promote option).
Do this for each piece. Then you can recreate your very back sheet of 'paper' by promoting your original background to a layer, delete it then fill with your bg of choice.

ah-HA! Now I learned something new. Wahoo - thought I was going to have to "recreate" a few layouts that I lost when my pc crashed, but my sanity has now been saved!
