Making Ribbons on PSP9

Can anyone point me in the right direction for the tutorials on making realistic looking ribbons on PSP9 perhaps without plug ins?

I did find one that needed the Greg's Factory Output plugins, how ever the plugins, did not work on my PSP9

Any help or sugguestions would be really appreciated.

I have found this site to be very helpful for PSP tutorials. It will at least get you started in the right direction.

I find that the best way to learn is to experiment adding textures and patterns and fading/blurring them.
I hope that helps!

Hello,
This was just a topic on the Corel/Jasc PSP scrapbooking forum. (Click on this link for a thread to how to access that forum) Important for PSP users...
Dizzy posted an image from a site (she didn't give the sites URL ) but it had some very nice, real looking ribbons that had been made in PSP. The poster of the message was asking how it was done in PSP9 to get that realistic look. The post was written on 7-19-05 if you get into the forums.
The majority of responses were, it is done with many layer, each part of the ribbon on a layer of it's own and then either deformed, turned and modified with the warp tool. After you have all the parts of the ribbon and center knot in position the effects for burn, dodge, lighten, shadows were added in the right spots for depth and such!! I have to say it was one terrific ribbon!!
I wish I could be more helpful, but as of right now I can not upload the photo to either My Gallery here or to my web site!! So you can get the idea of what I am talking about!!

The picture is from 3 scrapateers site...I think it's the Color My World kit...it's one of those Scrap a deals, I think they are called. Anyways, that's where the bow she asked about came from.

I posted this information on a previous thread a few weeks ago regarding IntelliSharpen but it also applies to Greg's Filters....

OK...check your Windows System folder to see if you have the following file:

Msvcrt10.dll

If not, you need to download and install it...here is a link to the file and some general help on the issue.

http://thepluginsite.com/products/p...ls/makework.htm

PS: Just d/l the file and put it into your Windows System file...disregard the info about FilterFactory, unless of course you would like to install Filter Factory too! LOL
