Not sure exactly what you're asking. You mean how do you put the embellishments on a layout? If that's what you're asking, I'd just use the browse tool on PSP to browse to the folder where I have stored the elements. Then I call up the element I want, copy it, then go to my layout and paste it as a new layer.

Is this the kind of help you're looking for?

I think so. I wasn't sure if I had to convert the elements to tubes. I've been scrapbooking for years and using psp to fix photos but I want to give digital scrapbooking a shot. I downloaded some embellisments and then said to myself, 'now what?' :-)
Thanks so much for replying

No, the elements do not have to be converted to tubes. They're in png format. When you open up png scrapbook file in PSP, it should have a transparent background. In other words, the elements are already "cut out" so you don't have to do it.

Then just copy and paste the element to the page that you're making your layout on.

I have kind of the same question except in regards to fonts. I am totally new to PSP and I have found a few fonts that I'd like to use. I downloaded them, but I have no clue how to make them available to PSP or any other program. Can anyone help?

Thanks!
~Melissa

Hi,
Did they come as a .zip file? If so you need to unzip them with a program like WinZip.
Usually people unzip them into their windows system fonts folder, but you will find if you start to download a lot of fonts. The drop down menu in your programs for fonts gets to be overwhelming!! But then you should be able to see your new fonts in every program you have.
Another way to do it is to create your own fonts folder, (I have one in My Documents/My Fonts) then I unzip all my downloaded fonts into there along with all the read me files so if you ever want to use the fonts for anything besides personal use you know how to find the creator of the font.
Then you need another free program called "The Font Thing" where you can start that program and have control over your downloaded fonts by being able to install and uninstall fonts easily when you are done using them, or just decided your list is too long!
There are other programs for both unzipping and controlling fonts to choose from, just search around in the forums here as there are a lot of posts reguarding the use of fonts.

Thanks Tracey! I had them unzipped and in a folder already, but I hadn't thought of moving them into the Windows one!
