Smile How to put what you want in your toolbars

I hope it's alright that I do this. Everyone here has been so helpful, and I just figured out how to do this. Thought I would share in case there is someone here who doesn't know how to do this.

This is for PSP 9. Not sure if this will work on other versions or not.

Did you know you can put ANY command you want in your toolbars? So all you have to do is "click" and it's done?

Go to View> customize

Under CATAGORIES scroll all the way to the bottom and you'll see "all commands". Click on that.

Now on the right you will have an alphabetized list of ALL the commands that PSP 9 does. Scroll through and any thing you see that you would like to have on your toolbar, click on it.

Now it will have a box around it.

Now LEFT MOUSE CLICK while hoovering over it.

You will see an arrow, pointing to a little box, with an X.

Drag that up to your toolbar. You'll see a little line appear to show you where it will go when you drop it. Figure out where you want it, then let go of the left mouse button.

TADAAAAAAAA

Now you have a quick button on your toolbar.

Wasn't that easy?

(I wanted my copy button up there, I was tried of having to hit edit all the time. LOL)

Blessings,
Angie

PSP 9 customized toolbars are the best! I love mine. I am learning PSCS2 right now and miss a customized toolbar like mad.

The next step then is to save as a Work Space, that way incase you ever need to reinstall, or have any problem with PSP9 you can reload your tool bar/work space just how you wanted it without having to go through all the buttons, commands and/or adjusting your color window, layers windows that usually reside on the right hand side of your screen.
File>Work Space/Save and then name it...mine is Traceyworkspace, then if PSP ever defaults to it's workspace mine is saved... Then I just have to reload it!!!
Big time saver!!

Another one is to take apart the tools like the erasers, selection tools...ect.
I hate having my tools under a drop down arrow menus, I know what I want to click and do not want to click twice to get it. You can use the same method as above by dragging and dropping them to the tool bar, then you also need to take out the duplicate tool under the little black arrow by dragging that one back to your customize window.

Thanks Haley, I'm off to save my workspace right now - it's one of those things I've never quite gotten around to. I hate not having everything in "the right place"!

Me too!! I know exactly where my mouse needs to go to click whatever tool it is I want to use without even thinking about it!
However it is like trying to remember a phone number on a cell phone when all you have to do is to select it in your phone book by name, but try to mentally recall what the number is and it is hard.
Same thing with loosing all the tool locations, harder then heck to get them back in the right order!! I wouldn't be able to because I do not have to think about it, it is just automatic!!
