New Challenge coming! SBB Cookbook

Starting this weekend we'll be introducing another great challenge here at SBB! A weekly receipe challenge will be given for inspiration. You'll be asked to post your LO in the gallery, but also send me a copy (with full credits). At the end of a year (or other timeframe - this is open for discussion) I'll compile all the recipes, make a table of contents and cover and send it out to everyone who contributed to at least 1/2 of the challenges. Sound like fun?

Discussion points:

How long should challenge run before compiled?
Prefered size of layouts?
Preference on final printing size?
Any other thoughts or ideas?

How long should challenge run before compiled?
6 months or 3 months..then you could have seasonal recipes as well!... 1 x week!

Prefered size of layouts?
8x8 or 5x7/4x6

Preference on final printing size?
I would like to see 4x6 or 5x7, so it's easy to print and put in an album... or 8x8

Any other thoughts or ideas?
This is for actual recipes?! Cool.

Do they have to be your own recipes?

Love this Idea!!! I love to cook so I will def. be participating! Also if you need any help with the recipes... just let me know, I have over 100 cookbooks ( been thinking about compiling them into a single program, for my own use) as well as a huge list of recipe websites... I will be willing to post my list with permission from Amy or one of the other admins. now for the questions that you asked...

How long should challenge run before compiled? I think that it should run like Alana said. 3 -6 months sounds like a great time frame.
Prefered size of layouts? I think that it would be easier to print a 8.5"x11" so to not get distortion when you print we should make the LO's that size.
Preference on final printing size? Include 4"x6" so that people can buy a photo album if they want and can bring to walmart to get the printed for cheap!
8.5"x11" It is easier and quite a bit cheaper to pick up a 3 ring binder from walmart than it is to buy a scrapbook album in any size, and you can personalize the cover to boot! Not only that... if you are anything like me you will want to use your cookbook and you dont really want to ruin one of those fabric covered books because you "spilled the milk".
Any other thoughts or ideas?Give us a featured ingredient to use or a catagory for insperation. Who ever thought of this idea... I love you! You are making me do something that I have been putting off for a while.

Great idea for a challange... I would prefer to see a size that is slightly narrower than 8.5 x 11 so that it can be printed easily on A4 without losing the edges!

I was thinking either 4x6 or 5x7 so that they could be combined on and easily printed on regular paper also - or printed as pictures for anyone that wanted to place them in an album.

I love the idea of a single ingredient for inspiration too! I'll write that down right now or I'll forget in 10 minutes.

I would like to see a font size. like no smaller the _ font size. Some of the receipe pages in the past the font was so small when I printed them out I could not read the directions.

i'd like to see this as a biweekly. especially if it runs long term.

someone else did a recipe thing around this time last year. I don't recall the recipies being distributed though.
