I also like the idea of a separate area in the gallery for "DIY" layouts.

I make some of my own elements but I also use kits. I very much admire the work of many designers (and I do buy kits sometimes) but I'm also curious to see what individuals who aren't designers come with on their own.

After thinking, the DIY gallery would be FOR the designers: we make everything in our kits, so technically it would be DIY. Now that could be a good thing, because when people look in such a place they would see at a glance not only who made everything themselves, but also those "available at" layouts they don't like as ads cluttering the main gallery?
Or it could be bad, depends on how one feels about people posting things they have for sale.

Any word on such a gallery? Any possible solutions for the kit vs DIY vs for sale postings? Rather than a whole new gallery, which is just viewed with all the other layouts in the main gallery, I would suggest Description rules preventing advertising language, and leave the kitters and DIYers together. Such a gallery would most likely create more hurt feelings than solving problems, don't you think?

It's fun to discuss at any rate

I haven't read the whole thread here, but here's just a thot...what if you put in the title and keywords some initials that ALL could use and search under that meant AMBY(All Made By Me), DBYT (Designed By Yours Truly), AOE (All Original Elements), or some such... If we saw it enough and everyone used the same, it would be easy to recognize and we could applaud your work! And pepper pepper pepper you with "howdya do that?" questions!
