This is a bit specific, but here goes:
There's a lot of galleries to upload to. Maybe we could have our personal albums at the top of the list rather than the bottom? It already defaults to the gallery we were viewing when we clicked "Upload Photos" but if you're just in the members gallery which at least I tend to be in then they'd be very close and I wouldn't have to spend 20 seconds scrolling to the bottom of the list. Also, could we only be shown the galleries that we can actually post to? I put something in Tutorials which disappeared I assume because you need to be a(n) (H)DTM to post in there. Likewise for special events that were over more than three months ago?

Along those lines, maybe we could lock old forums? A bunch of us stumbled on some related to old "weekly challenges" that haven't been going for a while - it would be good to have some kind of official "yeah, that's no longer active" notice. If people want to do those kinds of challenges they could put them in a request thread somewhere, but for newbies it can be a bit confusing.

Wow, am I glad I checked over the old posts before asking for this one again... Anyway, just bumping this up because I think it could be really helpful. Of course the whole switching to personal albums problem is much more important and in the same technical department
