I had asked if there was a way to do this and the answer right now is no, but I think it would be great. People living in the same areas would probably set up a "get-together" from time to time to meet each other and share ideas. If enough people thought it's a good idea, perhaps there's a way to implement such a sort.

an option in the software we use to host the forums and the galleries. So having enough people to request it, isn't going to make that happen. However, there is no stopping a "shout out" in the forums seeking members in your local area.
