I am a very left handed user and yet I have had no problems with using these sorts of tools. In my program, the bar to choose the tools is located on the left hand side and I use a Wacom pen.

Can you give me some more information about exactly what the difficulty is?

you don't mention what software she is using, but in Photoshop, you can customize your tool palletts anywhere you want them and then save their location so each time you open PS they will be in the same position. Also, if you hit the TAB key, the palletts will disappear and then re-appear.

Is this a mouse problem?

You can change the settings on your mouse by going to start/settings/control panel/mouse

Check out the different tabs until you find one that says something like change settings/switch buttons or switch primary and secondary buttons. This would put the control of her fore finger on the proper button for a left handed person.

They also make a left handed mouse. She may want to check that out.

It would be extremly rare for a program to have options for left handed or right handed users. Although she could check out her help for her ARC program and see if it has that option. If that option isn't available...and I doubt it is...then nobody can change this for left handers in the program itself....accept for the creaters of the program.

Hope this helps.

I think the problem is that the way the eraser tool is angled makes it hard for a left hander to see what they are doing. If that is the case than I'm afraid there is nothing that can be done to change it.

has she checked the prefrences to see if the tool "shape" can be chaged? In photoshop, you can select "standard" which looks like a square eraser, "precise" that looks like cross-hairs, or "brush size" that is the size of the eraser as it relates to brush size. It looks like circle.

I hope this makes sense and that it might be helpful.

My Wacom pen solved a whole bunch of left handed problems. The mouse is too difficult for me to work with too.
