Photoshop TUT for complete NEWBIE

Hi everyone.. I was wondering if someone could help me out. A friend of mine got Photoshop for Christmas and is finding it very difficult and confusing to get started. I use Photo Impact so I can't help her, but I would like to point her in the direction of some easy to use newbie tuts.

also, in the tutorials section of this site there is a tutorial to do a layout from start to finish for the beginner! it's really good, the layout is very simple, and it goes step by step ! good for getting familar with it!
