I don't have a copy of the CD yet either

there were so many orders for the CD that the Design Team Members got shuffled to the back of the line.

I am not sure how the CD was set up, but by the sounds of it, Amy has set up an html viewer that launches in your browser so that you can view the files on the CD. This is primarily a tool of convenience, so that you can easily see what is on there.

Once you know the file you wish to open, just open it directly through and into PSE. Then Select ALL -> COPY and then PASTE into your new document.

Thanks to everyone for their input.

Carole, I think what you suggested is what I ended up doing. It seemed easier, but I just wanted to make sure I was doing it right and not going to mess anything up.

Maya, I believe you are correct. At least that is what it seems like to me. Also, I've had some communciation with Amy and it sounds like they are getting caught up on the orders so hopefully you will all have your cd soon. Quick question about your CD, Maya.....Hope you don't mind. Is yours set up similarly? I was just opening your images into PSE2 also and dragging them to my project. Again, seemed to work well, just want to make sure I am doing things correctly.

Thanks again to everyone for your help. I am hoping to try a simple lo (my first cg one) either Sunday or this coming week. I have tons of photos from my daughters first B-day parties--all of which are digital--so I figured it was as good a time as any to experiment.

You'll be hooked!

It sounds like you're on you way, tabear0421.

My advice is just keep working with it, trying out everything. Before you know it you'll be hooked like the rest of us! When I first saw what others were doing I was so impressed. But thought I'd never learn PSE2. I've still got a long ways to go but now I'm working at it every chance I get. Can't wait to see your layouts.
