My gallery is showing up on Google! - SBB Digital Scrapbooking Forums | Scrapbook-Bytes

My daughter Googled my nickname and came up with my entire layout gallery on SBB!! I thought that folks had to be logged in as members in order to view galleries???? We are having issues with privacy right now as it is and I've had to take down my blog, rename and put up a new one with a new screen name too. What can I do about THIS??? HELP!!!

Interesting...I googled my username and my gallery doesn't show up in any of the hits.

Do you think that you posted a link to your gallery somewhere else of the web and google grabbed that link and now it is listed in the google searches?

I am not sure about people having to log on to see your gallery. I know it was talked about at one time. You will see it however (your Gallery) because you probably have Remember Me checked when you come to SBB so you don't have to log-in each time....?

another thing I noticed when I googled your name is that it has hits for View Profile for Perkidawn from SArtist, digi chick and SBB. Do you think that when you register for a site you are selecting something in your profile that would allow the internet to find these links?
I do not have any hits for view my profile in google!!??

HI there... what you can do is move your images to a private album if you wish with a password to view it... I do think most sites allow viewing of galleries without having to be logged in or registered.

I while back we had asked out members which they preferred and most preferred not having to be a registered member so that they could link friends and family for a peek

ok I am soooooooo Bummmed right now! I have 4,000 hits that come up when I google my name....

I think I will just not worry about it and stick my head in the sand.....
What do you all think I should do?

LOL Oh I know I am on Google, both Haley64 and my real name! Just not a link to my gallery at SBB or any of the view profile type links!
My name has been on the interent for years due to me doing web sites. I wish back then I would have know, I never would have used my real name and my good email address.
However with that said...knocking on wood!!! Nothing has ever happened except a lot of spam junk mail!

I am having a great time finding sites that have mentioned me in digi scrap land!! I never knew people talked about me like this!! hehehehe

Lol i google my user name on occassion to see what comes up - everything basically lol - there is also a shelleyrae who is a lawyer, a shelleyrae who is a musician and a shelleyrae who is a graphic designer and a few more - who knew there was so many lol.
However though all my tuts and credits and store stuff comes up my gallery doesnt - and hasnt ever - and i stay logged in all teh time. I have no idea what makes the difference

WOW - Every gallery I've posted in comes up - and even one link to a post here. As for the number of views - wouldn't that mean the number of times your layout was viewed? You can see that in the gallery?
