I agree with you that some reminders are in order.... ie: Don't dump and run, join in the fun! (LOL) ok that was corny but that is what is happening and when you start to realize who is doing it you tend to overlook their layouts anyhow knowing that they did just that IMHO>

I totally agree Neisha that the favor should be returned plus some but I have to tell you. When i first started I never really new this rule and just use to comment on any layout. I now try and follow up and return favors.

Its a requirement of my CT team that whenever they post a layout they must leave 3 comments on any other layouts in the gallery - if other designers would encourage that it would sure help on the dump and run aspect

I have noticed over time some particular people who "dump and run" and I make it a point not to comment on their layouts even though some of the layouts are really gorgeous. And I have been known to check the number of posts some people have against the number of layouts in their gallery. 75 posts and 300 layouts? No comments from me.

I make it a point to leave comments in the galleries of people who leave comments for me, but I also believe in just cruising the gallery and leaving random comments. It shouldn't always be just reciprocal commenting. (And I HATE "praise threads.")

I don't dump and run here at SBB, though i'm on many cts. you can look at my post number (500+ layouts plus tons of love). i leave comments by going through the gallery....the layouts that totally catch my eye get comments, the ones i see by my friends get comments, and the ones by habitual commenters on my layouts get comments. It all really depends on how much time i have to leisurely look through the gallery.

You have comments on your layouts...i looked and and wow, you have lots of comments; you should be happy cause tons of posters don't get that many. i'm excited always with the 3 or 10 or more that i get. My personal pt of view is...i don't want someone to leave a comment on my layouts just cause i left them on theirs. i want true love....eyecatching layout=love. i don't want anyone to feel obligated to click on my layouts. My comments are free love so theirs should be too.

just my opinion.....
