Hi.

While I like the look of the new site, I'm not able to search for elements anymore. I used the same technique I've been using - go to advanced search, type in the thing I am looking for and "elements" as the user - and I got nothing back for either "apples", "apple", or "ribbon". I find it hard to believe that these things don't exist in the downloads at all.

I just did a search for "apple" and put in the time frame of 1 year and got this result:

Could you please tell me exactly how you did that? I just went to Advanced Search, typed in apple, typed in elements for the user, and chose 1 year ago and newer, and got no search results. Obviously I am doing something wrong, or in a different section or something.

Wait - I found it. I think I was confused because there are actually 2 search links - one on the same level as "My Photos" and one above that, next to New Posts and Quick Links. I was using that one, and it didn't work, but then I saw the lower link, and it did work.

Kind of confusing to have 2 search links, especially when they don't work the same way, but oh well.

I didn't use the advanced search. I just went to Downloads then clicked on ELEMENTS. Once there I clicked on Search (right above where it says "Recent Photos 1 day 7 days 14 days All" and typed in "apples" with username Elements and 1 year.

I agree--the two links have always confused the heck out of me. I don't use search half as much as I should and I think that that is why.

Kim, here is my search also used the "All catergories" in the drop down box
