I signed up for a bunch of reminders to come to me about various crops, and I have never received any of them. What do I have to do to receive them?

I just discovered something by accident. I was looking in the my User Control Panel for threads I've subscribed too, and guess what... I found an Event Reminder menu on the left hand side that I could click on to see all of my reminders....
