Updated my avatar again !!

The bottle tops on the right are my wishes for 2005. You can't really read them in the avatar but they are for Hope, Peace and Love.

Unhappy HHmmmmm atavar instructions???

New member here, actually very old member coming out of lurkdom and deciding this is the year to go digital, only I am really digitally challenged and ignorant, are there any instructions posted on site for making an avatar? I really would like one, wish I had come out of lurkdom when the creative witch was making them. Thanks for any help you can point me to.

It could just be that your favorite team wins in NCAA tournament (did you know I'm a college basketball fan?!?! ). Or that you get 60 seconds of peace in the bathroom. Obviously more serious topics are welcome too. So dream away and show all of SBB what you want to do/see in 2005!

Ermm... maybe I should go work on my new avatar now.

Basically you can make any image you want be an avatar as long as it's final size is 125x125 pixels or less and the file size under 19.5 K. Somefolks have bought avatar "chicks" from Clara (creativewitch) or Dawn (hunibuni) and dress them up and put them in scenes. Momy4him and Pamsav's posts above have avatar chicks.

Personally I like to create my avatars from pictures. I just open PSE and create a small document (usually 500 x 500 pixels at 72 dpi) and pictures, elements, text, whatever strikes my fancy. Then I "save for the web" and get the image down to 125x125 and under 19.5K.

To upload an avatar click on Quick Links>Edit Avatar. Then browse to where you saved your image on your computer. Select the file. And finally click Save changes. You should be able to see your new avatar after this.

HTH and please post or PM me if you need more help!

This year I want to work on more TV & movie projects: directing, producing, shooting, editing, acting, you name it! I plan on continuing the background extra work that I do part-time. In addition, the division I'm in at the fire dept where I work recently purchased mega film equipment so that we can produce our own training videos. I plan on attending classes/conferences to further my film skills so that I can contribute more on these projects. I'm excited!!!

heee...here's me, the perpetual latecomer. But done! I want/need to learn more sign language for my dd. I've found some online resources for classes, the trick is finding the discipline to do the lessons regularly. I actually think this avatar challenge will help me do that. not only am I know accountable to all of you, but i will be seeing this little reminder ever single day! So Thanks for the challenge Stacy!
Hugs, Laurie
