I checked my User CP and it's set to show everything. Besides, I see some of the avatars and everyone's siggy, just not those few avatars! Not even the red X if the image was the wrong file type or something! I'll have to check the gallery for any comments ya'll make there to see if it's only in the forums or if it's everywhere! Thanks for the help, Dianne!

Here is our Blue Heeler, Dixie. Even though she tolerates me, she is my dh's dog. He's the master and I'm just a subordinate in her eyes. LOL She's a beautiful dog and pretty darn smart too.

Here's my new avatar. I've been having so much trouble with making a decent sized avatar ever since switching to the newer version of PSCS. Anyone else have this problem. I'd love to hear your process for making avatars if you use this program. Please PM me.... To make this one I started with a 3x3 inch 150 resolution document but had to reduce it to 90 pixels to get it to fit! I'm saving as a JPEG at a level 7 quality. I've tried all combinations and nothing seems to look any clearer or get any bigger. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks!
Amy C.

PS, Love all your cute avatars!

For web why go so high a resolution? 72 ppi is fine and will make it easier to compress appropriately. Don't start with such large dimensions either. Why make it 3 inches by 3 inches when you only need 125 pixels? If you are having a hard time working in that space, you can zoom in on your workspace and avoid a lot of headaches. If you absolutely HAVE to work in a large size and then size down, do it in steps instead of all at once. That will help preserve the quality of your image. Finally, use the save for web option and control the compression that way. Hope this helps!

Something strange is happening with the avatars... My new one with my horses shows up here, but when posting in the gallery it shows my precious pumpkins avatar. Is there anyway to delete the old ones permanently?

Thanks for the compression tips Dianne, I'm going to try that for sure. I guess I just assumed that you had to start with a fairly hight res. and then shrink it to keep quality because that is what I always do with my scrap pages. Definitely some more ideas to play with, Thanks again!

Arti, you need to dump your temporary internet files. DH taught me this because I have the same problem every time I change avatars. Everyone else sees your new one, but you still see the old one and only in certian places (ex, the forums, or comments).

Go to tools at the top, go to internet options, go to temporary internet files and click delet files. It sounds drastic I know, but it works!

Here is my new avatar, starring my three feline furbabies, Puck, Loki, and Doris. I made an animated one but couldn't upload it, so then I made this one.

ETA: I finally got my animated one to work!

Thanks for the tip on deleting the temp files. I didn't dare ask DH as he's doing the housework AND watching the kids this weekend. Isn't he a sweetie?
