My bags are packed, when do we leave???? Actually, we just booked a European cruise for November 2006 and we'll be going to several places on my "must see" list including Pompeii, Italy.

ROFL, Pam! I'd like to hope that Carla has bigger dreams then gooing to the zoo. Unless it's a zoo in a really exotic location.
 Love all the additions to our virtual itenrary! Jamaica, Vietnam, Pompeii! Cool! Great job on the avatars everyone!

Silly - - Pompeii is really interesting. PBS had a pretty good documentary/reenactment about Pompeii about a year ago. You can still order it on DVD. I also read a book of that would be considered "historical fiction" that may help bring Pompeii alive for you - - it is Pompeii by Robert Harris. If you know a little bit before you get there, you will keep your eyes open to things you WANT to notice - - the actual site of Pompeii IS HUGE!

Thanks for the info...I'll definitely check out that book. I have a whole year to read up on the countrys we'll be visiting - Italy, Greece, Turkey, and Egypt, but a year can get away from me pretty quickly so I better get started. BTW love the scrap, the picture of Pompeii is beautiful.

I live in colorful Colorado but have always wanted to be in the New England states in the fall. Maybe not my ultimate dream vacation but at this point in my life - I'd jump at the chance to go!
