PS how do I save path to a selection???

Ok so I am following the steps in "working with lens blur" from PSCS tips and tricks .... in step one it says to draw a pen path around the leaves of the plant and table (I did this with a person without a problem). The it says" I saved the work path as a new path and then converted the saved path to a selection."

How do I do this? the next step after is invert it, which I know how to do, but can't get this step so can't invert the selection!!! Please help!
Thanks
Heather

There is a little black triangle in the upper right hand corner of your paths palette/ With you Saved Path selected, click on that triangle and then chose Make Selection. A screen shot is attached. hope this helps. TOnya
