bending an element around another object

OK, this sounds far-fetched to me but seems like you can do just about anything in photoshop. I have an element for straight stitching and I wanted to "bend" it around a curve. Is this even possible? Right now, working want to do a circle, but was also thinking would be neat around text. Although, it might be easier just to draw the stitching myself. Just wondering if this is even possible to do before I do the other. -Ali

Not sure I unedrstand your question. Is there an example you could show?

My first thought, if I'm reading yoru question correctly, is to try the Filters>Distort>Wave function. You have a lot of options in there - very functional.

very, very cool brushes denis! tfs!! there's a stitching font, that's decent, but not realistic enough for me, called stitch and b*tch. yeah, lovely name too! it's usable tho. but brushes are probably the easiest way to go, well probably best too. i'd try denis's stuff!! Ü
