Some work best on fonts, some on layers, but to see the effect, make a new layer, fill with white, click on styles, if its not showing use the top menue windows > styles, then just click on on of the little squares in the palette you should see your white layer magically change, try different ones out. Styles are wonderful! Meryl

Styles! Styles! I love styles! they are fantastic for adding pizazz to text, to make an element. for everything! They can make something look like metal or brick or whatever you want! Remember that when you use a style, you can always double click on the layer and adjust it to your own liking.
Here's a great place to download a bunch! http://share.studio.adobe.com/axBrowseProduct.asp?p=2

The Adobe Exchange "is my friend", LOL! I love all of the stuff there. I print off the picture/description page for the download that I like and file it in a binder, then save the download to a CD. When I an looking for an idea, I can look in the binder for what is available.

Here is another fun addition for PS7, it is called Adobe Photoshop 7 One Click Wow. I checked it out of the library when I first started using the program and it was so much fun that I bought the book. It comes with a CD loaded with tons of goodies to load into the program.
