Oh thanks. I signed up. I have 2 of the Cookbooks. Actually, they are really great books. I had always meant to get another one that I had my eye on but never did. I really like the way the books explain things and show the screen shots of your layers.

I've read his books and they aren't too bad. The main thing I didn't like is that although he talks about engaging the subject and setting the mood... the book uses models to get the point across. In other words, the photos in the book that he uses as examples are "staged"... the models know how to react and display emotion that the average person would not - therefore, the techniques, while valid, aren't necessarily going to show as well as they do in the book. I would have preferred more "real-world" candid every day people rather than a staged paid "model in the studio" tactic. Otherwise.. interesting approach to discussing the subject.
