Colour Picker View?

Okay.. I am going nuts.. crazy.. insane!!!

I opened photoshop as per normal and when I went to make a rectange and change the colour the colour box in the colour picker
was all wonky... plus I can see all the boxes for H, S, B....
how do I get it back to just normal??

i.e. white in the top left corner with greys on the left side and then tints of the one colour???

what did I do wrong?

help me please... I'm going crazy!!!!

is this what it looks like?

if so, all that you need to do is uncheck the 'only web colors' box (circled on the attached jpeg).

It looks like this....

I don't know why...
Normally I don't even have the bars on the right....
nor does it colour like this....

usually... white is in the top left corner moving down to greys then blacks with ONE colour at varying hues/tints across the view area...

Anyone... ??!?!? Help?!??!

As far as I know, that IS the "normal" color picker! Are you on a Mac or PC? Because in EDIT>PREFERENCES you can change the color picker from Adobe to Windows (or Apple/mac, I assume, though I don't have one to test). The windows one is the standard windows color picker, although it doesn't look like what you described. When in your color picker, does the button on the right read "PICKER" or "CUSTOM"? If it says "CUSTOM" then you are using the normal picker. If it says "PICKER" than you are using some sort of custom one. I seached Adobe's Photoshop forum and didn't see anything I thought sounded like what you're seeing...
