??? for the PS God/Goddess

OK SR, Pesto, or anyone else that may be able to help me... I've got a dilemma. I have not added any new software or made any changes to my PS setting that I know of. Every time I open a new photo or image it opens with the "extras" showing (gridlines, and then gridlines within those gridlines). Control H turns them off simply, but that doesn't stop the fact that they are automatically popping up. I have looked through all of the preference settings and I can't for the life of me figure out how to default it back to not opening this way. I have no idea what I did to create this monster.

Any suggestions?

Thank you!

Hi Amy
When you open up, turn the guidlines off and then go to workspace>save workspace.
Reboot PS and you should find it stops happening
