Question COPY Command not available- Running Actions

When I run actions sometimes in CS2, I will get an error that the copy command isn't available. Do you know why this is, and how can I change it? It's not that they never work, they just sometimes don't. I've been working on this one element (a LARGE ring) and it just won't run no matter what. I've tried different actions and I get the same error.

This is for one of my NSD layouts (due in about 6 hours!) so if anyone knows and can answer me soon, I'll be so thankful!!

I don't know if this will help you or not, but I sometimes get that message when I don't have the right layer selected or if I had something in my copy cache previously. I would try purging your clipboard first, making sure you have the right layer selected, and control clicking on the thumbnail to load the ring as the selection. That may not make sense or may not be the right solution, but that's what works for me.

Sometimes the layer has to be specific so maybe a background layer vs a Layer 0 or Layer 2 etc.
You may need to check with the action designer who may have overlooked that info

Ditto what Jamie said above. And, I don't think the NSD layouts are due until midnight EST on MONDAY, so you still have time!

I always get that error when I don't start with the white backgroung layer. Took me awhile to figure it out.
