Color/Hue and Saturation Adjustment Layers

I'm very new to PSCS3 so I hope someone can help with this. I have quite a few layers on my page and I've applied various adjustment layers (mostly color/hue and saturation) to some of them. Now my problem:

1) When I go to move one of the layers (elements), the adjustment layers don't move with it. Is there a way of moving the adjustment layers and element without merging the adjustment layer(s) down?

2) Is there a way of applying the adjustment layer to just one layer without it affecting all of the layers below it? When I added a hue & saturation adjustment layer to an element, it also changed the color of my background.

Thanks for any help!!

You sure can do these. To keep layers together highlight both or all layers. Down at the bottom of your layer pallette click the little icon that looks like a paper clip. This will lock them together. You would do the same to unlock them.

To make your hue only on one layer you want to clip the hue adjustment to that layer. What you do is press alt key in between the two layers. This will clip it.
