Thank you all so much and Raechel, thank you for chatting with me on Hello. You are sooooo patient!

Yes, it was a full screen problem and I have brought several things into CS3 now without a problem. I am so glad to find that I can drag and drop from my ACDSee program!

One other question to all you patient ladies ...... once I get an object into CS3 I would like to resize it. Can I do that? In my DIP program I just click on the object and the resize handles appear but in CS3 that doesn't happen.

I'm going to go check those tutorial sites now! Thanks for posting them!

Lynn

Hi Lynn
You can do one of two things:
Choose teh Move tool and check the box on the top bar that says Show Transform Controls to get the handles up
or go to Edit> Transform> or use CTRL+T to bring them up.

Thank you! I didn't know there was a Show Transform Control. I did find the edit>transform today while playing around a little. I think it will be easier if I have the transform control menu up though

Hi there... I'd recommend you spend some time with the tutorials and help files available in the CS3 program.. they are quite good at getting you up to speed on the basics of the tools.

Ctrl-T for transform - quick and easy. If you want to add images to an existing image, it is much easier to just use the File->Place command rather than dragging in another document, having to switch to the move tool, having to copy/paste or shift-drag onto the existing document and then having to close the new file...

File->Place - one stop shopping to get an image on a new layer in your document - Pesto's Tip of the Day!

The Hello program that was mentioned interested me, so I downloaded it, but I can't get it to work. It always tells me the following invitation had problems, then it lists the email address and then says an internal error occured.

In checking their forum and help area, sounds like others have bumped into the same, with no success of fixing. Bummer. Sounds cool anyway.
