Here's a link to the most useful tutorial I have so far.

www.thinkdan.com

I've had a lot of questions about this. I will probably be doing a tutorial at some point in the Ezine, but basically you wan't to import your photo into the layout. I like to change the opacity of the layer on some of my layouts but that's optional. Add a mask (the square with the circle insie on your layers palette). Select a soft brush and at varying opacities begin blending. It really is just practice after that

hope this helps

Anna

I am so glad that you asked about this! That's exactly why I logged on, to find out how to do masks. I couldn't follow the tutorial from this site that LaurenB did. I tried it over and over and it just didn't work for me, but that's me. glad to see that there are more tutorials out there. -Alison

I am so glad Anna, I really love your work! I printed the turorials that you recommended. Hopefully, I have been stuck in a rut and this will give me something new to work with.
