Remedial Help

Hey - here's my questions for today
1. I've lost so many menus/toolbars - PSCS2 - I really really want the text toolbar back, where I can pick the font, etc.

2. I am working with a quickpage - it was a png and I just saved it as a psd file - is that correct?

3. I've got groups instead of layers and I'm confused

4. Sometimes when I open files that I have bought from scrapbookbytes PS asks me to color manage and I say 'no' - is that correct?

My cold must have gotten to my head but I just cant figure nything out.
Thanks!!
Lauri

1. along the top bar...click on "window" and check any tools/windows you want to show. Tools gives that bar that goes down the left side with the different tool icons.

2. Psd will save the file in layers, which means you can modify again later. When you're ready to flatten and save it for printing save as JPG. I keep psd copies of all my layouts plus the jpg version.

3. Are you trying to do clipping masks with templates? In PSCS2, you need to do alt control G. If you do Control G, it will group any layers you have highlighted. To ungroup, just click on the group in the layers windown, right click and select ungroup.

4. hmmm Not sure what this one is about.

1. If its your Optiosn bar - where you choose the font etc, rather than your tools bar that is AWOL> go to Window> Options to bring it back.

4. Im guessing you have your color management set to Adobe RGB 1988 instead of Adobe sRGB though some people still use the 1988, sRGB tends to be used more. Choosing No is fine though You can chnage the color profile to Adobe sRGB by going to Edit> Color Settings and changing to sRGB
