Keeping Proportions

Happy Easter - I'm not even sure how to title the question!
I have a quick page and in another file I have a collage I made in picassa. The collage is 16x12; when I drag it into the spot for the photo in the quickpage, the collage becomes smaller than the spot for the photo. How can I make it fit in there?
Thanks!!

Ctrl-T to transform, then Shift+drag corners to resize as needed... good luck!

part of why it may be becoming smaller could be due to your dpi. What is the dpi on your collage and the quickpage? If the dpi of the collage is 72 or something small compared to the 300 that is probably on the qp, even though the "size" (16x12) should be bigger, it isn't because the pixels are smaller.

You should be able to do as Pesto said though and just resize it using the transform and draging the corners out to make it larger. If you have to drag it out a LOT, it may become less crisp.

Sarah96 you are right ; the dpi is 72; when Picassa made it it did that.. I don't want to make it look really bad if I increase the dpi, but I'll try.
Thanks.

Just increasing the dpi in PS will not work.. you are going to upsize and it doesn't have the pixels to do that.. you might want to try using bicubic resize which will help.. but in general, you will want to redo it via picassa so it doesn't output at 72dpi.. 200 minimum..

Do you have the option to do FILE>PLACE with your program? If so, you could try that, maybe that would work.
