Hello all

How can I get the best image resolution in photoshop? I use CS3 Extebded. I did and animated photo siggy but the images show up with some noice, I save it as a GIF.

Is there any other way that I can a save this siggy with a good image resolution Or do I need another program?

Thank you!

Are you using "save as" > gif or "save for web" > gif when saving your files?
My DD has been using my CS3 tonight to create her animated blinkies and banners, and none of them have been noisy using the "save for web" command.

Don't have PS but found in PSE 5 that you have the options (in the Save for WEb area) to change the dither- 128 undithered (Ithink- might be dithered) is the best The lower numbers saved on file size but really affected quality. But this was for an animated LO with photos.

Thank you ladies for your quick response.

Yes, I do save it (in the Save for WEb area) and 128 dithered, and save as GIF, and for the color 256. I will post the photo siggy so you ladies can see the quality of the pictures! I made this for my best friend. Maybe I'm doing something wrong or this is how it should look.

thank you!

Thumbs up

In the Image size window> Pixel Dimensions, I think I put 200 pixels, but don't remember if i made a change in the >(document size) which, I see the resolution box, and don't remember if i change it to Bicubic Sharper (best for reduction). I just follow a video tutorial.

In the resolution box do I have to change to a high number?

Thank you for your help,
I really want it to learn how to save it in the right way with the experts like you all are.
thank you again!

From my experience, photos saved in GIF are not going to look that great. I believe mostly because of the GIF only having 256 colors. It's only going to show certain colors. Your images contain millions of colors, shades, tones. GIF will only show 256 of those. HTH.
