Question Help test these video tuts..

Putri' great little videos reminded me that I needed to add some videos i had.

Can you test them for me?

You can find them here:

If they dont work for you please post back what OS you are using eg Vista, XP and what error message you got.

It worked for me after my computer promted me to update the Windows Media Player. I'm XP too. And Amy is right -- you have the coolest voice and accent (well accent to me anyway!).

I'm on a Mac, so I can't play any .exe files. I have Window Media Player for Mac, but I think they have to be .wmv files to play for me. I'm sure there are other types of files that I could play, but definitely not .exe files.

Negative here too on viewing. My Mac doesn't like it and my PC doesn't either. It opened up on my PC eventually but I had to do a lot of clicking because of the exe extension -- security.

I'm not sure what you use. If you use Captivate you should save it as an .swf file. It's a flash file and any browser can see it. Plus the files size is smaller. Or, save it as a .mov/m4v or mpeg file. I use Camtasia for mine and I have a variety of production options. Captivate was a bit limited. I just bought Snapz for my Mac. Can't wait to try it out

Let me know if you need help and I'm glad that I was of assistance in helping you remember these videos that you have

Shelleyrae is using Camtastia to create her video tutorials, she has other ones in the tutorial section, saved in other formats.

I think she is just trying out a different format to see how they work across different platforms and how people have their own computers set up. If everyone ran the same OS and software this would be a breeze! LOL

PC-Vista Home Premium- no luck opening the files. I keep getting an ACDSee error message
"ACDSeeQV10.exe- unable to locate component - This application has failed to start because
ShellIntMgr40.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem. "
I'm not even trying top open it in ACDSee. Also got a windows alert about compatibility and that it had been fixed and try the program again. Didn't work. I get a security window when I want to open an unknown file- have to give permission to run. It looks like TechSmith Screen Capture Codec Installer is trying to open the program. I dont have a clue how to problem solve this.
