Thank you putri, I tried it, and it works nice. The more I work with PScs3, the more I find that there are many different ways to do things to get the same result.

Actually it's the same with any software. You can go to file and save or you can do CTRL-S. That's just for saving. For working in graphics, besides the application's options, it usually come down to our own personal style and also skills. I'm all about quick and easy. Which sometimes equals to not the best details. But with my eraser, I can smooth out the edges and my elements will cover the rest. If I really want to do more details work, for some photos that I really love, then I'd go more into the hard core PS stuff but for most of my digi layouts, the easy ways that I've been doing is enough and they look good after I print.

These video programs interest me. Are they expenseive to purchase? Seems more and more people are using them, but I don't know a thing about them - they are a wonderful way to teach. Thanks again.

For what they do, I think the price is reasonable. Camtasia is the one I use on the PC. For me it's free since I have a work laptop that's issued to me with it. I do software training and teach two online courses so I'd make quick videos here and there if I need to help somebody out with a software question. The software itself is less than $200. I have the educational lisence, same stuff just less $$. For my personal computer, my iMac, I use Snapz. I actually just got this from Macheist.com. This year they had a great bundle, $49 for 13 software, and Snapz was one of them. Retail, Snapz cost $69, so the $49 I paid to Macheist was well worth it. There's also Captivate. It's an Adobe (then Macromedia product). This is what I first used at work. I still have it but now I prefer to use Camtasia over it. Camtasia has more output/production option where Captivate only produce as a flash file and if you want a .mov file, it has to go through Flash MX -- such a hassle.

Camtasia is a lot better for doing a lot of videos I think. It has more built in features, more editing options. Also I like how Camtasia does the zooming in (new in the latest edition). Snapz, I record the video with Snapz, edit in iMovie, and then edit the audio in Garageband. I'm still not good at them since it's not my area of specialiazation but it does get my point across, better than my writing or using just screenshots. I'm hoping that these little videos will help my skills too in creating these kinds of things so it's like playing and learning while teaching at the same time.

Very well done! I always learn when I watch someone else demonstrate!! I've actually never used the mask tool for altering elements...it is so much easier than my method, I'll see if I can break my habit and try it! thanks for sharing!!!
