Nice video of manually doing an extraction.. wish there was sound..

for those interested.. I use the amazing Vertus fluid mask to do the same thing in about 30 seconds. You simply color in the areas you want to keep and you want to remove (the program creates blocks of areas and when you paint it fills in these blocks) and voila.. extraction! I use it almost exclusively these days... the pen tool is great but takes a lot of time - fluid mask saves you all the time and even does fine hair extraction with ease. Worth the $$ if you do a bunch of extractions....

putri- I am off to see this, I have been "scared" to do any work with the pen tool except for some simple paths etc. TFS!

Pesto - that looks like a great tool but way more than my allowance will cover. Thanks for the great idea.

LOL Ouch Serena...yeah a little pricey but it is a cool PS Plug-in!

I also should have added that the pen tool extraction video is a very neat method and one that I had never thought of using, basically because I use a mask layer in PSP to extract.
