PSE4 vs PS CS3 (help!)

Can anyone tell me what the advantages of CS3 are over PSE4? I've had PSE4 for about 2 years and after quite a steep learning curve got pretty confortable with it. Due to some unidentified problems with the computer, DH bought me another which came with PS CS3 already loaded. **FRUSTRATION** I don't wanna learn another program (whine, whine), I liked what I already had (more whining). I can't for the life of me find the PSE4 disk, so in a fit of MORE frustration I ordered one from eBay. So...my question: PS CS3 seems so much more advanced. Is it worth learning, or should I delete it when PSE4 arrives? I only use for minor photo editing and SB'ing. Will it mess up anything if I leave both of them on the system?
TIA!
Maria

It won't mess anything up if both are on the system. I had PS6, CS2, PSE3 AND PSE4 loaded on my last computer. I also loved my PSE4 for doing layouts, and only switched to CS2 when I had to make papers and elements for the chats I hosted as a DTM here. Took me quite a few months to save up and buy CS3 when it became available, but as a designer, well i needed it.

I have never heard of a computer coming with such an expensive program loaded on it, so maybe it is just a 30-day trial version? If you are in your comfort zone with PSE4, then stick with it (if it's not broke, don't fix it).

I agree with Arti - there is just no way that CS3 just happens to come fully loaded on a new PC legitimally... it's either just a 30 day demo or is an illegal copy or he paid significantly more money for the software already configured on the PC (ala Dell's software options).

If it is the full version, where did he buy the computer from?

If it is the full version... I'd just start using it. CS3 is the best paint program on the market so if you have it for free - just start small and learn it. Takes a few months to get comfortable but will pay dividends for you once you fully get it.

CS3 is much more advanced than PSE but if you know PSE really, really well, it won't be as difficult moving to CS3 as you might think. I moved to CS3 from PSE just a few months ago and I'm pretty comfortable with it now. You can have both on the machine at one time too.

I have CS2 and PSE3 loaded on my laptop. I use CS2 for everything, and PSE3 for the library!
