I Have Photoshop (6.0), But ...

...I can't do anything but touch up digital photos with it.

Where do you get all those cool textured backgrounds and buttons and (for a better word) "elements" like buttons, ribbons, etc., to use in your digi scrap designs?

I'm working on two starbuck's coffee memory tumblers, and want to make two cool inserts but I don't want to just put photos on them.

So, how can I spruce up my photoshop toolbox with cool elements?

Thanks,
Redfish

Hi Redfish,

Check out the SBB store, where you have a big selection of elements to purchase.

But, there are also a couple of free kits available. For example, hurry to grab the brag book exchange kit. Try to do a quick page too! click here

Also, I've got some "inside scoop" that there will be some games and festivities this week (starting saturday). There'll be chats, sales, free gifts, challenges, and more! Be sure to check the forums for updates.

Keep in touch. I'd love to see what you do with the elements. Feel free to post to the gallery here!

And you can see, the forums are a great way to keep up to date. post often.

Look forward to seeing your work. And yes, the elements will all work with your Photoshop 6.0.

You might want to check out the freebie gallery (under downloads) and then shop in the store. I'm sure there will be some great deals there during the party this weekend.

Hi Red!

Most of those kits were designed in photoshop - by digital scrapbook designers

The ezine is $5.00 and you get all of those kits plus articles, tutorials, and more Well worth the money

I so agree with Raechel. There are some nice tutorials, and I think 4 kits, articles, and lots of layouts for inspirations in the e-zine. So worth $5.00. And you can use the elements for what you want to do!

If you have troubles, post your question here. We'll help ya get started.

For additional resources to play with along with the free downloads you can check the Blog Notification thread for freebies. The tutorial section will give you some how to's for making papers and elements etc. Be sure to check out other program specific tutorials like Paint Shop Pro and Photoshop Elements. I have found that if you are familiar with you program (mostly where different items/features are located) you can pretty easily take that information (most of the time) and apply it to your own program.
