Hi Samirka...Actually your pink knotted ribbon looks great!

I usually make a real bow and photograph it then load to my editing program where
I extract it from the BG. (I use a black BG so there won't be any shadows. This works
best for me, but I know there are other designers who like to create their bows with
their program, and do a very good job of it. I'm not very good at that. Here are a couple
of samples of bows I did:

Hope this helps.

The brown one is very dark - but I'd almost assume it was scanned - many are as Moxie said scanned and extracted. There are also some actions that do all the work for you (google digital scrapping for bow actions)
I think the pink one looks good too though the shadow is a bit heavy
Ill add the idea to my tutorial list and see what I can come with for you
Ive had reasonable sucess making my own knots look realistic but not with actual bows

Bows and knots are really hard to do and take a lot of practice. I gotta agree that yours look great. I have made my own, but now I photograph them and extract. If you photograph it, it will be much easier if you use a background with a contrasting color. If it's pink use green; if it's white use grey or black. Then it will make extracting much easier. I have a tutorial on photographing flowers against a background and extracting them on my website, but it would work well for flowers as well. You can see it here:
