FILTERS are gone?!?!

I do not have any idea what happened...I booted up yesterday and everything was fine..then last night I get an error message that a file was missing and PS7 couldnt open...had to reinstall it...

So I reinstalled it and everything is OK except I am missing most of my filters...exept for a couple of the basics...I see them in my plug-in folder in my Photoshop Files on my hard drive but they are not coming up in the dropdown menu in PS itself....

I dont get it....any suggestions?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Thanks in advance...Jill

Thanks for the input..and yes I did reboot...several times.....

I dont think the LOAD feature works on filters...I know it owrks on everything else....unless there is something I am missing....I thought the filters only had to be placed in the right folder to work but I guess not.....

UUUGGHHHH I cant scrap without my filters!!!!!!!

"ah, well if that doesn't work, try this" sorry, the IT dept used to drive me nuts!! edit, preferences, plugins and scratch disks, and see if you need to change your plugins directory. should be something like program files\adobe\photoshop\plugins. maybe? Ü

margie is probably right

and you need to go to preferences to make sure that your scratch disk and plug in settings are set correctly to match where you have your plugins.

I have no idea, but for some unknown reason, PS forgets my settings every once in a while. I will suddenly get a scratch disk is full message and realize that it has once again reset itself to think that my scratch disk is on C when I really have it set to D drive. I have had it forget my filters a couple of times, but near as often.
