I was doing the tutorial in the Feb. 2007 Tidbytes issue-the one called Making Lace Elements. I LOVE it!!! I have the Mehdi plug-in and was wondering what settings you used to get the element to look like a doily. I am not very good with this plug-in. I never get all of the settings aligned right. Did you use the whole shape to make the kaleidoscope or just part of it? I used the same shape you did-I had the Dover book. Thank you for another great tut!!!

Yep I used the whole shape I cant remember the exact settings but roughly use the mirror setting, choose how many petals, rotate at 0, zoom pushed all the way to the left, and then play with the angle to get the look you want.
The sample ive attached uses the following
Petals: 5
Rotate: 0
Zoom Out: 0.5
Angle: 80
Horizontal: 0
Verical: 0

Thank you! This will at least get me a jump off point to try other settings. I love the softness of the lacy element. It almost looks like white wrought iron. This technique will look great with other elements. Thank you for your help.
