Layers

I wonder if someone can help.
You know when you have a layout with several pictures in it, to move each picture or element I have to click on its layer in the layer pallete to move/adjust it BUT I'm sure (unless it was a very vivid dream) that once all I had to do was move my move tool over the part of the layout I was fiddling with and that layer was automatically highlighted and the bounding box on the element/photo moved to the thing I'd selected.

Does this make ANY sense?

Anyway, does anyone know how I did it as it was really handy when fiddling with a layout with lots of photos/elements.

Many thanks

Make sure you have the auto selection box checked.

OMG

I never paid attention to that little box. I have been wasting my time clicking on each layer every time I wanted to do something with it.

Wewh, thanks so much Amanda. I didn't even think to ask cause mine had never been checked.

What a time saver!!!! YEE HAW!

When you click on the move tool at the top of the screen there are two boxes

1. Auto Select Layer
2. Show bounding box.
