Step-by-step tutorial: creating a LO

The other (paper) scrapping board I am a member of recently held a 'cyber crop' to celebrate their first birthday. It was great fun!
They held several virtual cl@sses and I was asked to create a digi-scrapbooking cl@ss (I was so thrilled!!)

Anyway - the cl@ss was a great success and the cyber crop is now over so I thought I would share the tutorial here as well. I uploaded instructions and screen shots to my website to make it easier to follow - don't all click at once LOL geocities takes the site down for a few minutes every time I exceed my bandwidth!

ShezB's Cybercl@ss

you can see the finished cl@ss LO's from the cyber crop in the UKScrapers Gallery (I think you may need to create an ID first?)

LOL! How do we turn the profanity filter off? It's so funny the way every time you type a$$ it puts *** instead

Thanks so much for the tutorial. At last I was able to do a layout in PS7. I had some difficulty with the vellum part . In applying the white over the "cardstock, the edges came out fuzzy and not crisp like yours. Also in the "torn edge part" I was unable to get the marque to go from top to bottom in one line.In spite of these two concerns I have a real neat layout . At Last !!
This was so fun. Thanks so much.

I'm not sure why you'd not be able to draw the whole line for the tear... were you zoomed out enough that you could view the whole canvas?

As for the fuzzy edges on the vellum, all I can think is that your selection was feathered... make sure that the feather setting is at 0.

Thanks Shez,

My feather ration was on 20%. At 0 everything was perfect.

Unhappy Can't get in

I can't get to the website or the gallery. I've tried replacing the @ in the addy. The gallery says I don't have permission.

Am I having a mental block today? Help!
