I need expert PSCS artist's help please...........

I am working on a project for my SIL. She wants me to take two photos and make into one of her two grandsons (brothers) who have both served in Iraq. Unfortunately one of them is now dead, but she wants them in their fatigues in a photo together and I really want to do this for her! I have extracted them and put them into one 8 x 10, but I was wondering if there if something else I could do, such as "blending", etc. that would make it better. I am fairly new at PSCS, so I am not sure of what to do. Any help you experts can give me will be greatly appreciated. Here is a 12x12 showing the two original photos and a copy of them in a combined pose:

Thank you so much, in advance, for any assistance that you can give me!!!

I think you're off to a great start! I would maybe work on the color between the two photos and try to make them more similar. I also think maybe putting a little more prominent background for them to fade into a bit might be nice. What a nice thing for you to do!

Lighten teh man at the back to match the front - PSCS2 Match Color is terrific for that sort of thing. A slight shadow on them both would lend some more realism too, and a slightly more colorful background will help with the edges.

I think you've done a great job. Something with some color in the background would be nice. Maybe a large american flag (or a displacement map) waved slightly muted in the background. A site I cruise that really gets into photos and people helping others in that area is:

http://www.retouchpro.com/index.php

You can upload something and ask for help and people will all grab it and upload different versions of it. Check out the site and see what I'm talking about. There are some talented photo people there. I enjoy seeing what everyone comes up with. I think you would find the site of interest.

Good luck on your project.

The only thing I really saw was to add a drop shadow to both of them... that way it looks like they are really standing in front of the background... and I agree with the others about doing a different background... I like the flag idea...Dani B has a wonderful Americana kit that has some wonderful backgrounds that could be used for this... you can find her kit here: http://scrapbookbytes.com/store/prod...4&cat=0&page=7

Dani, I just replied to your PM. I just purchased your beautiful kit and I know I will have many uses for it in the future ("knightgal", thank you for the link and suggestion)!

I am going to get back to work on my project and I will post the results here. Thanks again!!!
