Question Brush overlapping question

How do I stop my brush from overlapping another without using the single click/stamp method?- for example if I am using a butterfly brush, I have manipulated the jitter and spacing and sizes and whatever else trying to in one click and straight drag, stop some of the butterflies ending up on top of each other.
Is there a way to do this?

Set your spacing to at least 100%. You shouldn't have to set any jitter any place.

I hope I am reading your question correctly. LOL The above will work if you want to draw a straight line of butterflies - like a border - without them touching.

LOL Nancy- this made me laugh!

Just so you know SR- at 200%, there will be a space the size of the brush in the spaces
At 100% they'll just be touching (think string of pearls)

Hi Nancy
not quite - I dont want a straight line - I want the butterflies to be multplied and all over the place like with the jitter but I want to be able to move teh mouse in a straight line and not have the butterflies over the top of themselves.
Lol not very clear

can you adjust the amount of jitter, if so try increasing it, maybe they will jitter farther apart from each other!! hehehe
If not see if the step setting will make them not touch each other??

I see, said the blind man. LOL

Okay now I get it. I've not discovered the answer yet, as I've had the same thing happen. One option might be to do a couple of different layers and them merge.

I'm going to go play a bit and see what happens.
