Help with Re-coloring in PSCS2

Can anyone tell what the best way to recolor elements/papers is in Photoshop? I can't seem to get it figured out. TIA!

I select the area that you want recolored , pick the color you want it to be and control +U, click colorize and play with the sliders untill you like it.

Yeah, that's the way I know too. I thought maybe there was a better way. It never seems to actually match the color I want without messing with the sliders, but I guess that's just the way it is.

select your element or whatever you want to recolour then right click on the layer go to blending options colour overlay, pick your colour you want then try playing with different blending modes, you might like what you come up with
hope that made sense..lol

I really like using the color replacement tool- J for the keyboard shortcut (found hiding behind the healing brush)
This is usually only thought of for redeye fixes, but it's awesome for recoloring anything!

Make the foreground color what you want it to be and start brushing away (you can make the brush bigger by clicking the right bracket key over and over)

Also, you can just recolor a portion of the object this way- very versatile tool!
