What is the lastest version of CS2? How much is it going for?

The latest version is CS2. I believe it's going for right around $600. I'm not too familiar with the individual prices on the creative suite programs ie: photoshop, illustrator, indesign etc. because I watch out for the entire creative suite premium collection. Since I use Photoshop, Illustrator and Adobe Acrobat Pro for work it's cheaper for me to buy the entire Creative Suite (which includes these products and a few more) than to buy each program individually. Just a little tip for anyone thinking about upgrading to Photoshop CS2 and adding Illustrator to their collection, this is definitely an option to look into. Hope this helps.

CS2 is the current version of Photoshop. If you already have photoshop the upgrade price is $149

This upgrade you are refering to for around $149.. will that upgrade Elements?

I have an opportunity to purchase a full version of Adobe Photoshop CS2 for just $299. I currently have PSE3, so don't want to pay 300 for something I can get for 150.

I believe I have answered my question.... Elements does not upgrade to CS anything... right? Totally seperate packages. The offer I am getting is because I currently have Elements, but it is not upgrading me... I was misunderstanding.

So, anyway. .. $300 is a good deal for a full verson at any rate!

Actually Elements does qualify for an upgrade price from Adobe, but not the same upgrade price as if you already owned the full Photoshop. Adobe lists it as $499, but if you can find it legitimately at $300 that would be a good deal.

Yes, the upgrade is for Elements 4.0, though. I have 3.0. I was hoping for the $169 option, but nooooooo.....

Oh, wait. duh... I am just not with it today... long week-end, please disregard that last comment about the 3.0 not being part of the upgrade plan. It IS included. sorry!
