If it sounds too good to be true.......................

Scroll down and click on terms and conditions- very unclear as to what exactly you need to do to receive this free gift

I would steer clear of this!

Technically, yes, it's free - but only after you complete several offers from various companies - like the BMG music group or Netflix, etc. In the long run you'll spend some money, but not what you'd normally have spent on the software.

No it is not - you are required to fill out the forms, and then you will be given the options of choosing from several different companies offering goods/services, etc - that cost money. For example one offer is to enroll with Columbia Music, another would be books, or even movie rentals, and they all require a fee to join. Only after joining with these companies would you get the iPod. Perhaps someone else will offer their opinions too, but this is basically what this "free" iPod deal entails.
